The Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre (NRCLC) is seeking to recruit a casual Legal Intake Officer based in Lismore. The primary role of the Legal Intake Officer is to triage prospective clients and control the appointment book for our team of solicitors.
This is an integral role for our organisation and we are looking for a hard working individual who thrives on tackling and understanding difficult issues and ensuring all members of our community have access to justice.
While familiarity with the law is desirable, the successful applicant will demonstrate good communication skills, attention to detail, an inquiring mind and the ability to quickly synthesis information.
NRCLC is a not-for- profit, non-government organisation operating from a social justice perspective. Our target client groups are those for whom access to justice is not equitable, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, women experiencing domestic and family violence, people with disabilities and people experiencing homelessness.
Non-permanent, non-ongoing role 35 hours per week, job share available to the right candidate.
The position is banded SCHADS Award Grade 3 $43.09 per hour including all casual loadings. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
